Janine Halverson is the first person EVER in Go Ape USA history to experience every Go Ape Treetop Adventure! From Plano, TX to Springfield, VA and Chicago, IL to Memphis, TN, she has traveled the entire Go Ape map over the past few years. Over Memorial Day weekend, she checked off the last three sites on her list, navigating our Treetop Adventure courses in Cleveland, OH, Bear, DE and Raleigh-Durham, NC. To celebrate, we’re providing her with a FREE 2-year membership to thank her for her dedication to our mission: Live Life Adventurously!

“This quest was pure joy for me, and it was so special to speak with the staff this weekend,” said Janine. “They knew what I was trying to complete, and I enjoyed their fellowship discussing our shared love of Go Ape. Thank you for this honor; it is much more than I expected. I am forever an ardent fan of Go Ape and believe in challenging yourself to do more than you think you can. Thank you for your graciousness in supporting this quest of mine.” 

We asked Janine some questions about her adventurous approach to Go Ape and life, in hopes that she can inspire you to do the same! 

What is Your Favorite Go Ape Location?
Bear, DE (with a shoutout to my home course of Plano, TX and my #2) | Understanding the caveat that ALL the courses are wonderful and special in their own way.

What is Your Favorite Crossing?
Skateboard Zip in St Louis (quirkiest) and the other I don’t know the name of it, it’s 2 ft logs one right after the other with long ropes on the ends.  You can swing and walk in rhythm easily.  (Trapeze Crossing)

What Was the Hardest Crossing?
Sherwood & Rings in Plano

How Do You Land on a Zipline – Forward, Sideways or Backwards?
Forward

Do You Prefer Tarzan Swings or Ziplines?
Tarzan Swing!!

How else do you live life adventurously outside of Go Ape?
Hiking, biking, climbing, Geocaching, traveling and spending time with family
