It’s not in the dictionary, but if it was, Go Ape would be described as a ‘treetop adventure’.

We build treetop adventure courses up in the trees using ladders, zip lines, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire.  We have the world's best zip lines (including our massive 1,400 foot line in Scotland – check it out on You Tube).

We then equip people with harnesses, pulleys and carabiners, give them a 30 minute safety briefing and training and let them loose into the treetops, free to fly on zip lines and swing through the trees.  Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forests (not in monkey suits unfortunately!)

The result is spectacular. The Go Ape outdoor adventure experience gets the adrenalin pumping, gets people out of their comfort zones and above all (no pun intended), it’s a great outdoor activity for kids, families, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette party and team building.

The Golden Gorilla Awards

For our first American visitors at Go Ape Rock Creek Regional Park we're inviting you all to enter the Go Ape Film Academy Awards - more commonly known as the Golden Gorillas.

It's really simple to enter.  Get youself and some mates (friends) to Rock Creek Regional Park in Rockville, MD with a video camera.  Film footage of your treetop extravaganza, do some fancy editing and post it on YouTube!  Getting a camera into the trees is easy too.  Talk to the guys in the Go Ape cabin before you start and they'll kit you out with a lanyard so you and your camera are always attached - safer for everyone.
